Outshine is an arcade, fast-paced typing game where you type words to destroy your enemies. After the Shards experimented on Hue, they pushed it so hard, resulting in unleashing its power. A challenging arcade gameplay Play Hue and take revenge on your opponents by destroying them using your special abilities. A tactical typing game Each world has its own flow, enemies and bosses. Master your different powers, get to know your enemies’ behaviour and get rid of them before they annihilate you. Create your own game experience Use the game modifiers to change the rules of the game and create your own custom experience according to your preferences. Finish the game, replay with other rules. Leaderboard You are good at typing? You think your name belongs at the top of Outshine’s leaderboard? Then type your way up there and show everyone your skills.
The best way I can describe this game, is it’s like Beat Saber, but for your fingers! Outshine is fast paced, very flashy, and can quickly become very addicting (in a good way). There is a community leaderboard, but it also does a fantastic job of helping you compete against yourself, so you can see & feel those improvements. With over a dozen modifiers, you can increase the difficulty of a run to increase your potential score, decrease difficulty (yep, with a decrease hit to your score), or even play more casually – just to practice typing in a fun video game. There is a story element to this game, which I found a delightful surprise. The words you type regularly are also very normal words… it’s not like they’re trying to trip you up with obscure words you’ve never seen or heard of before (at least through the portion I’ve played so far). The boss fights are each unique, and I was continually shocked at the number of ways they could keep presenting the same information, but in such different ways it didn’t feel too repetitive to me.
Outshine Direct Play:
You do NOT need to be a great speller to play the game; however, I do feel like people who ARE good at spelling, will have a bit of an advantage here… being able to quickly spot a word, know how to spell it, and already start looking for the next word while their fingers do the work. I don’t think this is a game someone will enjoy much, if you do not know how to type without looking at the keyboard. Sure, you can make several modifications so you still pass the stages, but the constantly looking up & down will most likely wear you out very quickly. if you’re someone easily affected by overly crowded paged with effects, colors, and pieces flying all around (sensory overload), then this might not be for you either – some stages get very intense, and with no way to reduce the intensity on.

- Thats all, enjoy the game! Make sure to run the game as administrator and if you get any missing dll errors, look for a file named All In One Runtimes.exe run this and install it.
