The monsters are pretty simple to juke and avoid and the difficulty isn’t very high, but the sound and level design are effective enough to keep your spirit wanting to hop out of your chest through most of the game. Not too long, but absolutely worth the price of admission.
Very nice graphics and atmosphere, many different ways of passing, the horror that pumps from a calm state into fear. About the minuses, It was something I had never seen a video game do up until this point, and I loved it. Each section of the Citadel was unique and relatively memorable, albeit a bit confusing to navigate. Backtracking never really bothers me, but it’s certainly difficult with the 2D map provided when some floors how two separate stories to them I love how the original voice actor for SHODAN was brought back as it provides so much more fan service to an already beloved remake. I can see how a lack of hand-holding and unnecessary backtracking can deter others from wanting to try this remake, but I truly believe it wouldn’t be a “true” remake any other way.
Parasomnia Direct Play:
Graphics is so nice. It would be flawless if it weren’t for one part. And that’s a ship. It’s so boring. Also final boss could be done more fun and not just shoot it ‘till it die. But I still strongly recommend this game. It adds to the horror. The game also has an atmosphere comparable to RE 1, which contributes to the overall experience. Even in FPS mode, it has much of the same elements as earlier RE. DLCs are also fantastic. If you want a blend of Outlast and RE, I definitely recommend it. instead on explosive action and larger-than-life scenarios. Resident Evil 7, however, returns to the series’ core principles, embracing the vulnerability and helplessness that characterized the early games. This shift represents a much-needed redemption, rekindling the nostalgic feelings of unease and anxiety that fans had been longing for.
