Welcome To Brentwood National Park. You have been hired by The Company to rid the park of its wildlife, which just happen to be ZOMBIES. As a retired Mercenary you are qualified to use any and all means at your disposal to achieve victory. With many zombies to kill and tons of weapons to use this game is action packed for the whole family! Combat: Use 16 unique weapons with their own uses. From a simple pistol, to a minigun. The Company will pay you money for every zombie you kill. Use this money to buy Company provided ammo, better guns, and other goodies. Unleash unmitigated destruction to remove the zombie threat once and for all!
Platforming is done through automatic targeting. Simply put – you have to be close enough to a legde you can hop onto and press a jump button. The cat does everything automatically: you don’t have to take the height, distance or run-up length into account, which is usually important in the platformers (and it’s evident that Stray isn’t one due to the reasons listed above). Apparently, the goal of this design choice is to shift the focus of the players towards the story and the occurring events and away from the unnecessary challenge. I’d like to commend the devs for implementing a function to enable a crosshair (a dot in the center of the screen) to make “aiming”
Park Rangers of The Undead Direct Play:
Your jumps a little easier in case you’re having problems with that. However, I feel like not a lot of players will use this function, since the level design and the jumping system itself work well and synergize with each other. The game has plenty of bugs. In my playthrough I ran into collision bugs, which would break the immersion for some players, and also a few script errors, when some mandatory events failed to play out – this is fixed by restarting a checkpoint. Fortunately, the checkpoints are placed quite favorably so you wouldn’t lose any large chunks of progress. However, I can’t turn a blind eye to these problems.
