In Psychopomp GOLD, you play as… well, someone doing something important. Probably. The game takes “exploration” to an extreme level, requiring you to walk — a lot. By “a lot,” I mean you’ll trudge through vast, empty landscapes for what feels like hours, discovering plot points as coherent as a fever dream. The storyline appears to be a random assortment of cryptic messages and nonsensical dialogue, as if the writers were challenged to makesense to no one but themselves. It’s a weird game that combines maze-labyrinth gameplay with a disturbing blend of horror and cryptic messages. The game lets you chat with NPCs and inspect them, touch them, and even kill them.
Psychopomp GOLD Video-Game:
I killed so many times by accident due to how jumpy the controls are along with the tension of the world, every corner is dark, and grotesque enemies can jump you at any time, making for an immersive experience. The developer has a unique artistic vision, every level is horrifying and surreal, almost like a weird nightmare and the world has a lot of lore to discover that barely makes sense on its own but piecing it together gives some hints to what is going on. A nice “afternoon game” as you can beat it in 3-4 hours with extras. Psychopomp GOLD is a game that you can get and have a “one of a kind” experience with. It is unsettling and the atmosphere is apprehensive, so if you get stressed about dark games and enemies going UGGA BUGGA out of nowhere, skip it. However, if you are into that stuff, go ahead and get the game.
