About The Game
Ragnorium is a fantasy colony simulator set in an alternative universe where the privatization of space exploration has led to the commoditization of clone colonists. You are tasked with establishing a self-sustainable colony and helping your faction survive the oncoming Holy Crusade led by Sentient Machine. Manufacture clone colonists with different rarity levels and launch them alongside necessary cargo, supplies, and tech to the burgeoning settlement. Progress through technological eras and enhance your colony with new mechanical marvels earned through activities including dispatch missions and colony milestones. Each accomplishment is another step towards the next leap in technology and progress. Embedded with RPG mechanics, players are able to customize their colonists alongside the colony through experience, scavenged items, and crafting. Detail the skills of individual colonists as they journey through the hardships of your uncharted planet.
k so ive played Ragnorium for about 70 hrs now! and i LOVE this game, sure its got some bugs and some obviously unfinished bits but thats why its pre mode=) not sure what it is about this game but i absolutely love it, honestly i thinks it s a better version of rimworld, rimworlds great but it takes so frikin long to figure out all the addons you want than to load them and figure out why they arent working and yada yada yada, it can literally take FOREVER to actually play the dumb game, RAGNORIUM is better, i like the art style and the game play and the different objectives, i honestly really love this game and hope it continues to progress and add content A unique colony builder, for sure. I’ve played a lot of Rimworld and this game probably has a steeper difficulty curve (if you play on standard mode WITH events). I haven’t progressed very far because of this, but the mechanics are there, and working. Some things were a little iffy like your colonist AI, I have not played the 1.0 version yet, i hope some of the “bad decisions” are fixed.
It is a unique world. Reminds me of Kenshi. These 2 names drops aren’t really comparable, but in the same vein. Overall if you’re looking for a unique colony building sim where you can loosely or closely control a handful of colonists, I’d say pick it up, I don’t regret the purchase. Skeptical at purchase but after 2 hours I’m glad I did. It is a little rough around the edges but I have not encountered any of the bugs/issues outlined in other reviews. The UI doesn’t seem that clunky and the tutorial does a pretty good job laying out the games systems. The obnoxious screen flicker can be turned off in settings. Another review mentioned this game feels similar to Kenshi and I have to agree (was part of what pushed me over the edge in buying). Its not quite the same and I am only 2 hours in, but it definitely has that vibe and I have been searching for something similar for quite some time now.
