This game was a little finicky with my controller, you’ll get far much more currency than there is stuff worth spending on, and almost every ability is worth using with almost every build, so runs tend to feel a bit same-y with each other. Runes lack the unique feel and flavor of the characters and weapons – runes are the meta unlocks that you accrue points from runs for, but they are overall very underwhelming, either being simple and small stat boosts, or too niche to be really useful except for very specific build-types. Runes I feel would really benefit from some expansion. Relive the original arcade experience with vertical screen play while deploying several unique wallpapers for the edges of the screen.
