I was curious if I would enjoy this game, so I just tried it after a very stressful day of work. While playing I kept thinking about game development and other creative passions and the struggles they come with. Forgetting why you love what you do, or that you loved it once, because others are throwing stones at you when you try following your passion.
This game is about nature, but for me it felt so much like it wasn’t “only” about the nature outside, but also the nature of creativity/ideas inside of us (our mind, heart or soul or whatever you want to call it) which are being destroyed or forgotten over the time of our life. The mini games were nice, diverse and satisfying to play and watch. I liked how the character watched the grass growing. And collecting the birds and clouds, or drawing the star constellations without knowing what the final shape would be. When I started the fragile mode, I wasn’t sure if there was a point in trying to “clean” the moon, or if I was meant to fail. But in the end I made it. The fragile mode was definitely a challenge compared to the first story mode, but it was a fair one.

Recollection, developed by Erkberg Games, is a wonderfully crafted, short game that emphasizes the importance of cherishing the simple things in life. The game’s bug-free performance and affordable price point make it an easy recommendation for anyone seeking a peaceful and relaxing experience. I really appreciate the theme, but the artwork and puzzle mechanics should appeal to everyone that likes puzzle games. Really, really good and unique mechanics.
