Journey through a deep and diverging land of forests, swamps and villages, discovering animals, spirits and numerous secrets on your way. Love the Slavic occult atmosphere that Reka exudes. More subtle than Black Book but still great atmosphere. Gathering items is quick and easy and the building, while clunky at first is easy to implement. Crafting food items is simple with a three ingredient structure. Graphics are simple yet effective due to the lighting. Lots of recipes to make your chicken castle your own. Game needs some optimization as my 3080 is struggling to keep a steady 60 frames at 3440 x 1440 on medium settings. However so far its been a solid launch. Just finished the second area. Lots of potential with this one and I am excited to see where it goes! Reka is a mix of sandbox exploring, cooking and base building. everything under the eyes of our chosen boss the witch baba jaga. the reason for these circumstances are unclear.
REKA Free Steam Pre-Installed:
My character ended up in a village and doesnt know what to do, so she goes to a witch who will give her tasks. and thats about it. from then on you think its gonna be a nice adventure, but nope. as soon as you think the intro is over, the actual “main-story” is over. cause in the demo you play the first map, which acted as an introduction. the second map is the final map where somehow the story makes a halt and everything becomes a sandbox game. you can hop to various other maps, complete tasks , discover a few more recipes and some other small sidequests and collect ressources, but thats about it. after roughly 4 hours you continue the game as a bland sandbox game and can build your moving witch-house and decorate it with tons of items you received from all quests.
