Third time trying to write a review for this, I just couldn’t get it out of me the way I wanted. There is actually a lot to talk about here lots of highs and lows yet I just can’t write down my thoughts without going into tangents about stuff that I’ve disliked. But let me try again, already knowing that the end result won’t be different but whatever, I just give up. The world design is great but it just feels like it got drowned under the works that the devs got inspired from. There are visual design elements that instantly remind me of The Fifth Element and Deus Ex: HR, most of the characters and the plot itself, at least for the most part, felt like not too subtle references to important historical events, philosophical texts and certain other works of fiction rather than being their own thing. Then on the gameplay front the fighting system feels like a shallow imitation of what Rocksteady did in the Batman: Arkham series, just spicing it up slightly with allowing you to create your own combos but like I’ve mentioned, it really has no depth, all you do is just pressing the same two buttons in different orders after all.
