Remnant 2 – The Awakened King now that he’s awakened, the One True King is ready to kill. The insane king, who was corrupted by the Root during his near-death sleep, is on a rampage of vengeance and perceives betrayal at every turn. The weather has been erratic and the tides have been fierce since his castle first landed in a Dran coastal village. This DLC includes new scenery and enemies that are recognizable from the Losomn universe. Although this is made quite evident, it wasn’t a worrying factor; yet, I might not have expected to see nearly so much rehashed stuff right away.
One of the new common adversaries is unbalanced and has a quick-fire ranged attack that can one-two shot you depending on how difficult it is, which is not fun at all In addition to having zero optimization, this part of the main game gave me some of the poorest performance. The two reasons mentioned above are the main causes of the negative, and if they are addressed, I will reconsider the review’s applicability. However, the original message is still important to make. I want you to compare your Huntress bossfight versus BB’s Gascoigne. Realise why a big beam of light aoe that passes that every obstacle and wall and gravestone in the way is bad game design, and why Gascoigne is awesome despite still being able to cheese him behind the gravestones. She could have been a good fight if you actually had some confidence in the mechanics.

Instead you bump it up with cheese and ruin it with the badly designed arenas. Have some confidence in boss mechanics. Adding 600 enemies to every boss fight doesn’t make the fight better. Stop relying on enemy spam to artificially inflate difficulty. Make better bosses. Now, I am playing a level 20 Challenger/Engineer build, so maybe that’s why these guys aren’t so tough for me. I will say they ARE challenging, but not impossible to kill, which adds a level of danger while playing, as opposed to most other common enemies which you can just steamroll at level 20.
