Explore desolate locations once thriving with life, now deserted cause by the infestation. Get supplies you need in order to survive. Beware the enemies lurking in the darkness, hidden in corners or behind unopened doors. There is always the risk of encountering your death. The enemies do not stand still. They will spot the movement of survivors, then chase and grab them even when it is not their turn. 14+ types of various historical weapons are usable, each with their own unique skills. Control the battlefield by pushing & pulling enemies or using various tools. Use enemies’ sight and noise to trigger the battle on your terms. Throw a stone to attract attention or set up a tall barricade to prevent them from spotting us. Cook the Foods you’ve collected. A fair amount of food will heal the damage and grant a decent bonus in the next battle. The Blacksmith will be the most important NPC in the camp. He can craft, repair, reinforce and upgrade your weapons which is the key to progression, along with making many essential tools.
The resources will get more and more scarce, so you will need more supplies than you can get in the battle. Send a Scavenger NPC out into the world to find key items. The core of the game, the combat is okay. The strategy part and the difficulty are fine, but there are a few mechanics that irritated me: The counter mechanic hindered me more than it helped, the throw stone doesn’t have enough range so you get swarmed, there is no way to charge the enemy ( or sneak !), etc… but the fundamental work fine. This is not why I bought this game. By Survivor I expected it to be the lore and the setting, but instead, I get to play resource management stuff, like food for my guys. that’s just fluff that distracts you from the core of the game. I don’t like it. Maybe some will do but that is not my cup of tea. fun game, great graphics style, music, charm and unit design same as the first one.

Unfortunately the devs decided to not put any of this to use in the style of fight I prefer. If you like small almost puzzle gameplay then this game is entirely that so you’ll love it! The game offers a thrilling and immersive experience of surviving in a zombie-infested city, where you have to use your agility, creativity, and weapons to fight off the undead and hostile humans. The game also features a dynamic story that changes based on your choices and actions, giving you a sense of agency and consequence. A good mix of weapons keeps combat fun characters are believable & the Z hordes can be challenging. All n all a great game for any zombie apocalypse fans, single player was a blast there are some multiplayer game modes but i did not play them so cannot speak to how they are.
