It feels easy and rewarding to level up. If you are playing by yourself, the game has a completely separate solo player talent tree. I did feel like I would have an easier time playing with others and I think this is why it exists. It gives talent points more sparingly, but they make a difference. The max level is 50 I think and you are able to respec your character. These Lost Zones can be modified by either increasing their difficulty or adding things called “imbuements” which add special mutators to the run, things like pools of poison are added to the level, or piles of money that stack your vulnerability to attacks the more you take. There are ALSO instanced open world zones outside of these dungeons, that have enemies, quests, vendors, boss fights, and more.

Cosmetics and customization involve changing the clothes their wearing or even alternate universe versions of the same character that may significantly change how they look. Permanently owned dyes can be used to apply to these cosmetics to dress up what the character wears and differentiate yourself from others, as well as weapon skins and weapon dying coming in the future. They also have other various customizations which involve their “gloom dagger” (a plot related item that every Wayfinder has) and more. You choose one of three starter characters in the beginning, with a total of (currently) 6 characters to earn. Once you have chosen one, you are locked in with that character until you are able to “craft” more. Weapons are also “crafted” things.
