As US Army Ranger William “B.J.” Blazkowicz, you’re on a solo mission to pierce the black heart of the Third Reich and stop Himmler…or die trying Return to Castle Wolfenstein is one of the greatest FPS game ever created, It’s highly replayable and addictive game, It’s the best Wolfenstein game from the franchise in my opinion, All the new Wolfenstein games have better graphics and modern mechanics but they never can surpass Return to Castle Wolfenstein.
All of these help make for a fun gameplay loop of using different weapons for different scenarios.This game is definitely one that likes to pack a punch though. Certain enemies have deadly accuracy or even enough health to drain you of your ammo before finishing you off. There were a few different sequences where I would continuously be shredded by the elite soldiers or absolutely demolished by certain enemies without much time to react. It only really got frustrating by the very end of the game, but was otherwise challenging and fun enough to keep me going.

If you are looking for a return to a classic game you played as a kid, or maybe you are like me and have never played a Wolfenstein game before, I would recommend this one. If graphics aren’t a big deal for you and you can get around the slightly clunky controls and at times harsh difficulty then you will definitely have a lot of fun with this title. The base price of $5 is definitely worth it and you will leave it feeling like you got your moneys worth.
