A simple action game. By moving around, enemies are exposed to flaws, constantly defeating them and becoming stronger, enhancing the character’s abilities and being able to defeat feudal rulers in the game. Fighting in the context of ancient feudal dynasties is different from the game of martial arts and immortals, where defeating a ruler can earn more clothing and weapons. A brand new combat experience, use your favorite weapons and equipment to defeat enemies in the game. You can play many rounds of games, and each round of enemies will become stronger. Limited recovery items can make battles tense, overcoming pressure and defeating enemies is the only way to obtain recovery items. On the other hand, the bad thing is we, or at least I, wished there was more to the story. Even though it has all of your usual plot points covered, other characters could have been fleshed out more.
I like how even if the Combat’s controls are the same as the main game, they even bothered making it feel like we’re playing a different character. Miles’ normal attacks are much weaker than Peter’s and has less tools in his arsenal; thus, it becomes more efficient to use his electric powers in exchange when playing as him. The stealth ability feels gimmicky apparently, and it only becomes necessary for a few scenarios in the whole game. I absolutely love how they overhauled the air tricks you can do while web swinging around Manhattan. It’s such a small detail that makes the swinging look so much more dynamic. After seeing the sheer amount of animations a single Miles swing has, I don’t think I can go back to Peter Parkour.

His stringy frame added with the flailing around he does with his legs and hands just makes things look so much more organic and carefree. I liked that it was an intentionally shorter story. Miles isn’t as experienced as Peter, and Miles is the Spider-Man of Harlem, so it makes sense that it’s mostly focused on Miles and his community. This mode is right up there with the tougher games. The game goes from stress-free and playing like a Nintendo kind of game, to absolute brutality by switching from any of the difficulty settings to Master. I died so many times on the bosses and mini-bosses it was bordering me giving up. So be warned, the game is 99% a breeze and stress free, but as soon as you change to Master, it is like an entirely different game in terms of difficulty.
