In a way, yes, but only at some aspects. It is, without a doubt, the most polished game out of the three, whether it does so through at time gorgeous graphics, satisfying combat and the large amount of skills to learn and objects to acquire. However, it is obvious that the developers went for quality over quantity in other aspects of the game just to pad out playtime unnecessarily which makes it a chore to play in the end. It does suffer from that traditional “Piranha Bytes” syndrome where its incredibly fun at the beginning all the way to mid/late game but then it becomes a drag in the endgame and you can not wait to finish it only to be rewarded with a p*sspoor ending that seems more than a bit rushed. Nevertheless, Risen 3: Titan Lords is definitely worth playing even today, even if just for the parts of the game that have that classic Piranha Bytes charm to them.
