A short 3.5 hour puzzle game with hints of a grand story sprinkled with a hauntingly atmospheric soundtrack that eerily sets the mood. I’m not much of a puzzle gamer, so I was slightly worried that this game would aggravate me. There were a couple of spots that had me stumped but the game’s clues worked well at keeping me engaged and not getting too frustrated which I appreciate. All in all, it was a nice change-of-pace game that I am glad I played. Its a good puzzle game. My only gripe is that for some of the puzzle solutions, your cursor needs to be in a specific place when you drag an item over. If your cursor is not exactly over that invisible box when your move an item to it, it will not register properly. I got stuck on one area and had to look up the solution. The solution was exactly the thing I was trying to do. I only realized after that it only registers when the cursor is in a specific area. No problems after that.
Room Pre-Installed:
The game uses 3D graphics, the models look good and the sceneries are great, but the cat has a shabby outline (which is supposedly its fur) that I thought was a visual bug at first, it took me a while to get used to it, but it’s not a big deal. There’s nothing memorable about the soundtrack other than the cute melodies Morusque plays for you when you find his music sheets. The sound effects on the other hand are really great. The game is pretty straight foward and requires only basic exploration skills, there are some puzzles but they are usually simple and solved during exploration. The chase sequences and stealth sections are arguably the most challenging parts of the game, but still, they aren’t that hard, so I’d say this is a relatively easy game. Much shorter than I expected it to be. I played it at leisure and explored everything I could, still I only have about 12 hours played, considering the fact that some of those hours were spent doing the speedrun and other achievements that are not part of the base experience.
