Rugby 25 is now available in Early Access on Steam. This Early Access phase will not only allow purchasers to enjoy the game ahead of its full release, it also empowers them to influence its development direction. With promising feedback and a growing player base, Rugby 25 Early Access sets the stage for a groundbreaking entry into the world of rugby gaming, creating the most comprehensive Rugby video game of all time.
Upon Early Access release, teams will not be final, nor will the players have their photogrammetry likeness integrated into the game. As the Early Access period progresses, teams and players will have their names and likeness updated and integrated into the game. Upon final release, Rugby 25 will include over 140 International Teams including New Zealand, South Africa, England, France and Australia, plus over 150 Club Sides in 11 Competitions with URC, English Premiership Rugby, French Top 14, MLR and Super Rugby. Do not grab this game if you think you are getting a well polished product. It is fun and hopefully through feedback Ross and team can develop it to the best rugby game yet. There is a completely different mechanism in the rucks it seems, it looks like you can automatically go into the rucks by pressing the bind button, you can also influence the ruck more by doing it manually.
Rugby 25 Pre-Installed:
Turning into a player close by and going in. Very different mechanism, but feels a little more engaging. Not polished yet but engaging. Let work with the developers to create the best rugby game yet. The offensive moves are pretty cool animations, pulled of a spin but not sure how. Take it for what it is, have fun with it without taking a serious approach, it is early access. I respect that they didn’t copy and paste other game play. Bugs as expected for an early access but had a game where all they players just stood still and time kept running down, couldn’t tackle the player or get the ball to end the game had to exit – Haven’t had any crashes as mentioned by others yet Thumbs up for actually trying to make rugby game and putting something out there to get feedback to improve on. Cinematic looks great and feels like your on the pitch, up close with the players The ball bounces with moment and flows well Actual running with a player and changing directions are smooth
Kicking to the post is simple, but the curve on the kicks feels realistic and stylish.
