This game is basically a classic walking simulator. All you have to do is to explore detailed recreated rooms of an old Russian hut and admire the beauty of its interior. The interior of the house is worked out to the smallest detail, so you can immerse yourself in the atmosphere of free village life, away from the gloomy high-rise buildings, the noise of cars and endless city bustle. You also get to recruit commanders/heroes that you can fully equip with gear and so fourth. This makes every battle engaging because you truly don’t want anyone on your side to die and heaven forbid your entire army is wiped out meaning you would have to start over. The combat system is highly addictive as the battlefields and sieges tend to have hundreds of units on the screen at once. You are in full control over your character and try to kill as many units as you can to avoid casualties to your own troops that you are also able to command and change formations.
it’s an emotional rollercoaster that grips you from the first chapter and doesn’t let go until the final credits roll. The characters are not just pixels on the screen; they are living, breathing entities with their own quirks, struggles, and, ultimately, destinies. The writing is so sharp that you’ll find yourself emotionally invested in each member of the Van der Linde gang, feeling their triumphs and tragedies as if they were your own. The camaraderie forged on the virtual plains of the Wild West felt tangible, and the shared adventures with my friends became cherished memories. Whether embarking on daring heists or engaging in epic shootouts, the online component of Red Dead Redemption 2 has the potential to be the crown jewel of multiplayer gaming. The potential for an expansive, immersive online world with trading, diverse occupations, and a nuanced leveling system is apparent. It could have evolved into a distinctive RPG experience, standing tall as a genre-defining masterpiece in its own right.

Unfortunately, the reality falls short of this potential, leaving players yearning for a more realized online Wild West experience. I started out always going in guns blazing, because I’m the impatient type and I thought it was funny to immediately fail the stealth conditions on purpose (and sometimes get berated for it), but later on I started experimenting with stealth, and I have to say that it makes for engaging gameplay as well. has beautiful graphics, a breathtaking level design, a well written lore, a good soundtrack, lots of amazing characters and great mechanics. I played the game on a high end PC with 14th gen Core i7 and an NVidia GeForce 4080. Despite this, there were quite a few graphical glitches, particularly with reflections. The game’s bleak cityscape looks stunningly good with all the graphical effects turned on but some objects close up could have come from a game ten years ago.
