I want to write a long, detailed examination of what makes this game special, but that would bore you. Somehow it just has that “magic” where I cared about the characters and felt like I was really in their world, and I didn’t want it to end.Highly recommended if you want a relatable game about trying to live life and not feel like you’re a failure or you’re underperforming, etc., but with a compassionate feel that doesn’t make you feel hopeless. Or if you just want to hang out with animal friends at the mall or band practice or stop by their work. Idk, like I said, it just somehow is a special game but it’s hard to describe how. Heat Signature is considered Hotline Miami like, well kind of, but it’s actually bit more than that. Hotline Miami like phase takes in space ships you go invade for whatever reasons, mainly some liberation ramming work aka you take big ship to ram it into enemy space station and liberate it for your free space unity. This starts from one person who wishes for it and is fed up with working and dealing with oppression from these gangs and enforcers, so last mission to go at it and have some space station liberated which is the starting point of main meat in this game.
Sakura Sakura On PC:
This starts somewhat revolution of people who have their own personal missions and affections along with buffs/boons to deal with, also their equipment, skills and other things can differ. This means there’s a loads of variety coming in how it can play out and Heat Signature gives you quite a few options to deal with and be innovative with it’s gameplay. For example had DYING status for new liberator worker, aka 10 minutes of living time before they kick the bucket, personal mission was to kill some sovereign bastard, so did take space pod and took direction to sovereign space. Found small attack ship, flew space pod to airlock and invaded their ship by killing em all and taking control of bridge. Flew the ship toward sovereign big ship in which the bastard for personal mission was. Started maniacal laughter and missile barrage flew towards this unsuspecting “friendly ship” they tried to return the fire, but the hellfire rain on them destroyed their main guns and part of the bridge along with passage ways to teleporter “they sure do like to escape with those”, but not this time! As the helpless bastard was left to look how missiles ripped apart the last of the portion in ship they were in and hero returned home to retire and probably die in pair of minutes.
