ESCAPE THE ISLAND Explore the handcrafted open world of Saleblazers and defeat its bosses on a grand adventure to build a rocket ship to freedom. This game is a dream come true for me! A great combination of survival coop and shopkeeping mechanics, its already the best shopkeeping game I’ve played! It’s a bit rough around the edges, most notably the walking and running animations you see all the time look pretty jarring, but my early access experience has been smoother and more fun than what a lot of the reviews are saying. A pleasant surprise was the great music that plays for combat/shopkeeping/exploring. As for the actual game play it’s clear that they have a vision for this game, and it isn’t some directionless hodgepodge of half-baked concepts they put up for sale. The exploration and combat are better than some EA games whose sole purpose is exploration and combat.
