We long for warmth, for hugs, for conversation and laughter. But it’s hard for us to take the first step. I spent many late nights nestled under the quilt, scrolling through my phone, not knowing who to send a message to.
This game is short. If you are fast you can finish a playthrough in an hour, however you need multiple playthroughs to get all scenes and locations. I recommend 3 playthroughs which will cover all base options and then hunt down the scenes that are still missing via the story board, so you do not miss out on interactions with the girls. You will get enough playtime out of the game and since its cheap its definetly worth to get. The story is simple and you have 4 girls to choose from each beeing either cute, sexy or both. They are all good options. However the game has no intimicy meter so no matter what options you choose you can still romance any of them. Your choices do matter in so far which locations you visit and what interactions you have with the girls which is why you can not get to see everything in 1 playthrough. The english subtitels while not perfect are good enough you will never get confused so they are no downside to this game (except 1 scenes which has no english subs).
Secrets of the Heartbeat Direct Play:
The story board works but its not as good as in other games where it clearly shows how many branches can get from each point but other then that it works perfectly. The 4k video quality is great but if your game stutters or flashes while using the 4k video quality fix it via enabling Vsync in your graphiccards driver and limit your monitors HZ to 60. Achievements unlock some extra video clips or pictures of the girls which is a nice touch. While the game initially appears to be an “upgrade” style tycoon game, it starts mixing in new experiences and minigames really quickly. You start going on rescue missions, collecting pokemon, taking safari pictures, feeding cats, farming, raising chickens, meeting ancient underwater civilizations, fighting neolithic era monsters, playing rhythm games, raising tamagotchis, playing a mini-version of Dredge, and even going on spy missions. I hope this game can bring some comfort to people in loneliness, and I hope you can experience a little warmth and fun here.
