After frogwares got ripped off by nacon for sinking city, all the background changes about “young sherlock” made me scared this was going to be a cashgrab, and a shell of what the sherlock holmes series quality writing and story used to be. i mostly bought it to support my favorite studio after a bad situation. but WOW! the mind palace was always great, but holy crap i love the new game mechanics they came up with, reading any and all characters by their environment now plays a bit like the old classic LA Noire, and the open world makes the cases non linear, so things like pinning the proper evidence and exploring on a hunch to track the connections is completely friggin epic, and so i can see cases having a high replay value even through several rounds of DLC. its apparently not a ton of cases but the name is misleading and its more than one, think QUALITY and story depth, not quantity, plus it contains many side missions like GTAV so it was well worth the full price for me, but wait and buy it on sale if youre broke i guess, idk. either way, long live the sherlock holmes series!
