Shift’n Slay Steam Pre-Installed
Shift’n Slay is an amped-up turn-based tactical roguelike, where you fight your way through a cyberpunk hell step by step, trying to break a time loop engineered by corporate bastards. Every turn is a puzzle, every attack—a deadly chain reaction. Mistakes are fatal. Tactics or Death – Always Stay a Step Ahead Enemies don’t wait around, and your resources are limited. You can’t just mash an “attack” button—every move counts. Will you take a tactical position or charge in headfirst? Save your ammo for later turns or risk it all to finish the enemy now? Become a storm of lead, mowing down enemies from a distance. Or choose the path of the unstoppable brute, crushing foes in close combat. Maybe you’re a tech assassin, setting traps and enhancing yourself with stimulants? Build your killer to match your playstyle.
Mechanics of knowing when you push objects, punch, or shoot…. is cool and fresh. That is where it ends. Want to shoot over a stool, that does not even fondle your balls in height? Nope. Want to push a bookcase on top of a fool on the other side of it? Nope. How about wanting to choose a load? Nope. The only load will be in your pants. You can even use an item to heal yourself or place a bomb, but that is it. After a few runs… we were like… seen it…. done that… got boring and underwhelming. The voice acting is the only good thing that kept us playing a bit longer, but then that stops to impress after run a second time. Fun for one play thru, replay ability does not seem to be there at all, mainly because you reincarnate after you die and start completely over just to do it all again, limited items to carry, lottery choices on load out and its just not overwhelming in drawing me back.

Intro video got us to look and buy, playing got us to say, yeah… cool… not worth ticket price. On to the next… nice try… but you need SO MUCH MORE… its empty from a development standpoint. So yes… not enough here to justify the cost versus time you will play. Is it fun, yes, first few times. In closing Creek… you outa your mind dog…. Seriously. They have mad positive reviews!!! We are not feeling you on this one… Fair enough… hear us out. We think they may have done this light content launch, and bad replay ability, on purpose. This could be a business model, to charge 10.US which is overpriced for the content and replay ability not there, regardless of the great voice work and writing. To overvalue their game plain and simple. Try over 1200% versus the national average let alone global at a whopping 1870% overvalue for time played, replay hours, and cost. Games are not discussed in terms of sales price only, but in a language of hours played, versus cost charged, versus replay time and if applicable DLC bringing that valuation higher
