About The Game
Shrek 2 also known as Shrek 2: The Game and ported for the PC as Shrek 2: Team Action is an action-adventure video game published by Activision and released in 2004. The game was developed by Luxoflux for the PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube, while a version for PC was developed by KnowWonder. Shrek and his friends have to endure an adventure that is based on the movie. The team is in the land of the ogres and you have the opportunity to control 10 different characters. In multiplayer mode, four of you can explore the lands of Shrek. Players play mini-games when they are not traveling on hazardous paths from point A to point B. Challenges that require the player’s entire party include having to punch chickens into cook pots or a pen, escorting characters through a stage (Billy Goat Gruff and the three blind mice), and collecting fairies, jewels, etc.
Based on the movie, you guide Shrek and pals through this action adventure. Explore Far Far Away and all-new areas like the Spooky Forest and Dwarven Mines. Choose to play as one of ten different characters, including Donkey and Puss in Boots. Use each character’s special abilities to solve puzzles and accomplish objectives. Play as Shrek or choose from 10 other characters, switch between four rotating characters instantly to utilize each character’s special skills and attributes. Out key moments from the movie and discover never-before-seen locations and characters. Special hero time sequence minigames where each character gets to shine and kick some butt. Visit locations from the movie and beyond.
Is it sad that this game scratched my Mega Man itch better than Mega Man 11? All four of its single-player games are extremely well-made and addictive, and its music is some of the best in gaming. I would suggest playing Plague of Shadows last, though. It’s the most janky and difficult of the four, and it’s much easier to appreciate it after beating the other three titles. King of Cards is my personal favorite, but Specter of Torment’s controls and story are so fluid that picking one game as my favorite is so hard.
