About The Game
Skinwalker Hunt is a horror themed hunting game from the creator of Witch Hunt. Main focus of the game is on exploration, non-linear gameplay, and atmosphere. You play as a Native American monster hunter, who will try to hunt down legendary creature called skinwalker in different parts of the world. You’ll be able to find and use different tools and abilities to hunt and survive. This game is definitely not for everyone – there’s a pretty steep learning curve right up front, and uncomfortable middle ground where things seem unfairly random difficult… and then there’s the nice smooth end, where suddenly you realize you have everything you need to win and you might as well go shoot that monster already. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t fun. Exploring the handmade worlds, learning to deal with each of the enemy types, finding secret caches of items and abilities, leveling yourself up until you’re big and beefy and ain’t scared of no ghost… very satisfying if you’re willing to be patient with it, and learn as you go. (or wimp out and read guides.
Can you work your way out of an ambush or escape a direct attack? And will the same actions work every time? Procedural Arena Prepare for a different gameplay environment each time you play as the ship’s interior shifts shape with every run, changing the location of items along the way. Escape Routes Discover different methods of escape and delve into the bowels of the ship to recover items you need to repair them. Opportunities and Hazards Use whatever you can find to try and outwit the monster. Hide in lockers or under furniture. Use distractions to attract the monster to you, or, perhaps more wisely, to where you’ve just been, but be careful not to run too fast lest you fall into one of the ships numerous traps along the way.

You have three ships with which you will have to control the game, these ships can transform into different formations and according to which of the three is the head of the transformation your attacks will also be related to the main ship but nicely combined with the abilities of the other two ships. Although Sol Cresta can be very difficult to survive, there’s no doubt that a fantastic vibe reigns there that will make you not want to give up too soon. Would I recommend this game yes and no. If you like classic shooter games like this then you will not be disappointed. I would not recommend this game to players who find games like this difficult and are easily frustrated. I would say though you could start on easy mode and work your way up through the diffiiculty. Overall for me I would give Sol Cresta a 8.5 out of 10, Looking forward to playing it on the Steam Deck when I eventually get mine which is still a couple of months away.
