Don’t forget, the fate of the world rests on your shoulders. You’re not going to listen to him, are you? We’re supposed to save princesses, not slay them. She’s just an ordinary human Princess, and you can definitely slay her as long as you put your mind to it. Don’t even think about trying to romance her. It won’t end well for you. Hopefully you won’t die. But if you do, you’ll die a lot. Be careful and stay focused on the task at hand!

Well, these questions don’t really matter when it comes to asessing how I personally experienced this game. No other videogame has made me feel the way this one has. It felt so personal, so much like my choices were my own and their outcomes were fit to be the type of thing I would get the most personal joy out of, at one point I was genuinely wondering if this was a fever dream that was portraying this game exactly the way I wanted it to be, a way I didn’t even know I wanted at all.

I could talk about the specific things that made me feel this way, from its branching choices, to its narrative, to its characters, its art style, its music, its voice acting, its sound design, etc. Every single ounce of this game has contributed near-perfectly to this feeling I had, and so I would spend way too much time writing all of it down, as well as spend too much effort trying to convince others about how incredible of an experience I got from a videogame about slaying a Princess in a cabin’s basement. The game shows its strength with interesting and mysterious dialogues while featuring beautiful and remarkable art and music. There are some memorable dramatic scenes that really make the game a unique, outstanding and exciting experience. I’m glad i gave this game a chance.
