Soul Stalker Direct Download
Soul Stalker is a bullet heaven roguelike where you assume the role of the steward of ghosts bound to eternal life on earth. Wield 4 to 6 weapons simultaneously to fend off waves of apparitions determined to defeat your spirited friends. Choose from a diverse pool of 21 characters, 35 weapons, 84 trinkets, and 21 pets to craft your ultimate build! Slay spooky souls, evolve your weapons, and progress through the Soul Stalker Society’s hub to become an unstoppable force of nature. Fast & Unique Runs: Each run in Soul Stalker offers distinct locales, ensuring no two ~25-minute runs are alike! Metaprogression: Power up by completing quests in the overworld, purchasing starting equipment, and absorbing wisdom from the ghosts in the Soul Stalker Society’s hub. A Papery World: Immerse yourself in a visually striking papery art style, featuring 2D characters in a 3D cel-shaded world. Mound of Music
Survive: Each wave lasts between 30 and 60 seconds. Survive and gather as many resources as possible to upgrade your character at shops and campfires! Soul Stalker is a fun new released survivor roguelike where you banish the ghosts haunting the psyche of your town’s residents. Create the ultimate build as you forge your own path in becoming a weapon of supernatural destruction. In Soul Stalker, you begin in a hub world, where to progress further in the world and unlock characters/weapons, you must complete runs and clear tasks inside them. Choose your character, weapon, and beginning perk – and in either the short Job mode or the large Journey mode, you continue along a path of miniature bullet heaven challenge rooms that typically last about 30 seconds, mixed with campfires, upgrade spots, and shops. I spent most of my time playing the testing branch for the final release.
Soul Stalker Pre-Installed:
Visuals are charming, and you can reasonably run 60 FPS locked on pretty light hardware. Soundtrack is dynamic and catchy, and a whole lot of characters and open world content are hidden away to unlock. The Job game mode adds a fun, random mini run feature, which gives a bite sized experience that forces you to work with what you’ve got – a far shorter experience than most VS-type games and a very charming one. A core feature of the “main” Journey game is the ability to buy, unlock, and choose your own starting perk and weapon – this creates an incredibly easy way to find strong/optimal starts for most characters at the beginning, and well into the rest of the run. Apart from the initial run of “how does this work?”, I haven’t found much challenge in the game.
