Space Chimp provides an immersive user experience as the player journeys with Jimmy across the length and breadth of space, fighting boulders and gravity while solving interesting puzzles of varying difficulty, giving their brains much-needed mental exercise. Also, if you have the original version of the game, it may not be worth it to get this since it’s mostly just updated graphics and commentary. There are a few new puzzles which are fun, but its not enough to make it worth re-buying the game. Regarding the extra levels, there are enough extra levels to complete another puzzle. Plus you have to figure out how to reach some of these levels through the commentary world. It’s not really 40 extra levels though. I liked some of the levels, but a lot of them were way too easy in my opinion.

The way the commentary was made to be more interactive was really nice. As far as the commentary content goes, it was mostly interesting but some of it was repetitive and kind of dry. I really liked the art and some of the design sections. The commentary helped me appreciate the work that is put into the game. I found it interesting how the designers sometimes fixate on small stuff that 99% of players don’t really care about. That happens in a lot of games. This is a review for anyone who has played Braid in the past and is interested in the extra levels, updated graphics, and commentary.
