Infernis Prime is a mining colony in the Outer Rim, under brutal occupation. With the help of a hacked android and the discovery of a dark secret, the rebels finally have a chance. This is the story of how the Outer Rim Coalition formed, and how they broke free. There are no levels in Star Shift Rebellion; skills and stat increases are managed by Knowledge Points acquired from battle. In addition to the standard turn-based combat, there is a tactical battle system for fleet and army combat. Unique skill trees exist depending on a character’s species and class. Time has been shattered. Only you and your crew can unlock the mystery before it’s too late! A soundtrack from multiple independent artists that enhances the experience. You have control over a Group up to 7 Characters, but there are more, so you will not go with the same Group all the Game. The Introduction will show you the Game Mechanics, so that you come lightly in. Next to the classical turn based Group Battles there are also tactical Battles with Spaceships and on Ground with Armys. This provides additional variety.
In most RPG´s you level. STAR SHIFT REBELLION has no Levels. You have really massive Skill Trees that are also based on the Characters. And they are really effective. The Battles are all fair, maybe sometimes challenging but never unfair. There are also 5 Difficulty Levels. From just enjoying the Story to absolutly Challenging. Don´t get fooled by my little playtime, i played most time offline. To reach the End i needed about 15 Hours, but i think it can be solved faster. The End is well done, but feels there is more to come. And there is!!! STAR SHIFT FREELANCERS and STAR SHIFT LEGACIES are planed for this year and i´m really excited for it. It’s a very well put together sci-fi story that reminds me of a mix of Final Fantasy in the 90’s on super-nintendo with Mass Effect style themes and futuristic battles involving solar systems and aliens and diverse civilizations. There’s also well-executed story significant tactical battles as well, which you don’t see that often thrown in the mix.

The music is very unique and good. The customization from the skill trees is massive and even bigger than the prior game Origins. Really it’s a masterpiece of its genre. – Very well written science fiction story. It’s got conspiracy, intrigue, time travel, space politics, tragic backstories, and neat characters. 7 character party at once in battle [you almost never see that many in rpg games], somehow they’ve managed to pull it off here. There’s also a total of 14 playable characters (or more?) I lost count. A lot of customization choices with the skill trees, even compared to the previous game, you can specialize your characters any way you want and there’s a lot of combinations. Some tactical battles are thrown in, so it isn’t only regular turn based battles either. Some really cool cut-scenes. The combat is fun and fast paced, can be challenging at times.
