My system is by no means great aside from having an excess of RAM and I haven’t had any problems myself. While the old games were a laggy mess at times Sunrider 4 never even stuttered for me. I did however hate the temple missions, they were the worst. They would have been much better if units had freedom of movement or it wasn’t a turn based system like the rest of the game.

I do think that some of the criticisms of this game are valid. Most of them are things that have always been a part of this series. Yes, the gameplay can be clunky at times, and yes, the game can be difficult even at its easiest difficulty. Those are just typical Sunrider things, and to me they’ve become a part of the series’s charm at this point. In particular, I would sometimes need to reload the game due to a lagspike here and there, but the game still made the hassle worth it. These are a part of the series, and I don’t mind it. The transition to the new game engine and the new gameplay were a bit strange, but were manageable, and I’d imagine that in future installments, this will only improve.
