I have only ever played 2 dungeon editors prior to this one, and the last one I can remember was Fight the Dragon on Steam several years ago. I’m glad I found Super Dungeon Maker recently and I am excited that the game has near-limitless potential! On first impression, the dungeon editor is really easy to get into. I can already see a lot of inspiration from the classics being translated into the SDM world. One thing I would like to see in the future is a sense of continuity from dungeon to dungeon (the ability to carry over items and progress. Admittedly, the reason I could really get lost in the game is that I am hopelessly in love with the game’s aesthetic. I’m a huge fan of Fink’s design and I’m excited to see more characters! I have no doubt that the editor will keep getting more monumental upgrades, but above else, the draw for someone like me and the games I have played (and completed) in the past lies in the execution of this idea in this specific art direction.
Super Dungeon Maker Pre-Installed:
At the time of writing this review, I would say the game is somewhat bare-bones, but in the short span of time I’ve owned this game, I’ve already seen the developers add a few things to the game. This shows their commitment to expanding the game and as more and more things are added, I believe this will become a game that offers a lot of possibilities for your creativity. As far as the building mode goes, it’s very intuitive and user-friendly. Considering the game we all wanted will most likely never be made, this is the next best thing. having a great time with Super Dungeon Maker. It might look simple but it’s capable of making vast multi-level puzzle and/or combat dungeons. And I can’t get over how easy to use it is. My kids loved Mario Maker and they’ll love this too. Super Dungeon Maker is a superb level editor suitable for making Zelda-like adventure games. It’s more powerful than you’d expect but incredibly intuitive & user friendly. Perfect for kids.
