Super Pilot Direct Download
Super Pilot is a F-Zero inspired arcade futuristic racer that lets you create, edit and share your tracks in the blink of an eye. Race at ridiculous speeds! Races here are all about skill and speed. No physics simulation, no weapons – just master the boost, the drift, and the extreme speed of your ship through impossible loops and turns. Compete with your friends in split-screen, or against up to 48 AIs, or race your way up the global leaderboards. Build the wildest tracks! Design your own crazy track by adding loops, twists, pipes, or making it vertical, upside-down, or whatever you’d like, using our powerful and easy-to-use track editor. Just draw something and start racing on it – it really is that simple! Share your creations! Once you’re done designing a track, upload it and anyone can play it and compete with you on the leaderboard. Browse player tracks, rate them, or put your favorite ones together in an intense championship for everyone to compete on.
This is probably the most F-Zero like game one will find currently. Even moreso than game like Fast: RMX and Fast Racing Neo. The amount of content is unfortunately lacking, but the track editor and online sharing is great for staying entertained. The controls are excellent and the physics feel great. I do hope to see some sort of jumping mechanic or air control in the future though. There’s not much to this game yet, but what is there is executed expertly. There’s a good deal of innovation in the handling and drift mechanic with a surprising amount of nuance to them. Tight corners sometimes require braking, which is unusual in a racing game of this style, but it’s definitely a positive rather than a negative thing. The track editor is simple and intuitive enough to pick right up, and the community has created some pretty interesting and fun tracks so far. The AI racers navigate these tracks well, and in a way that at least seems like they’re working with the same racing physics you are, which is awesome.
Super Pilot Pre-Installed:
What do you mean, you want to know more? I…look…once upon a time, the greatest game on the gamecube happens to be a race game. More so: the fastest and most insane race game ever conceived. It was also insanely hard for that same reason, but it was worth it. I mean…blinking your eyes was enough to get passed by half a dozen blurbs that were opponents, but that sort of thing just got you more determined. absolutely fluid gameplay all the way. I’m playing on a steam deck, and I’ve yet to see it dip below the maximum. Besides: what’s the point of fancy graphics when it all flashes by so fast? I’m trying to race here…not give myself epilepsy. Less screen clutter means more focus on what matters. Less good: at first I thought the game was too easy: I jumped straight into the first championship and ended up nearly ten seconds in the lead on the 47 opponents. Luckily, the medium setting is quite more of a challenge.
