Super Toy Cars Offroad brings the series off the beaten track and into the mud, sand, snow, and more! Find your own way in this fast-paced arcade racing game where you control miniature offroad cars that speed through amazing tracks populated with supersized everyday objects. Drive your offroad vehicle where no other toy has gone before! Leave your own trail through burning beach sands among suncream and sandcastles, or step in virgin snow among huge snowboards and ski goggles, or through any of the impressively detailed 15 tracks available in the game. In Super Toy Cars Offroad you can choose between 20 very different vehicles, ranging from ATV, buggies, cars, and big trucks. Picking a fast vehicle is important but a tough one too! Competition ain’t gonna be soft on you and size matters, so choose wisely and crush your opponents under your wheel or leave them behind eating the dust!
In no other game will you revive better that feeling of playing with your toy cars when you were a kid during your holidays or a short trip to the playground. Fasten your seatbelt and get racing in this new offroad adventure of Super Toy Car The game is very short, as you can finish the game in about 7 hours (I played through new game plus so my time is about twice that length), with the game being comprised of short areas you traverse through to progress the story, so you can just hop on and play at anytime basically. I think this is the part where I gush over the gameplay, as I really liked the gameplay. The combat, while again not as good as Hades, is very fun, as the environment and movement options allow you to use different approaches to various situations. You also get a wide variety of weapons throughout the game, which you can upgrade by collecting the specific material for that weapon or buying it, then buying the upgrade. This allows for a variety of differing playstyles, all of which are fun to just try out. To try them out or grind for money.
Speaking of characters, the characters are very well developed in my opinion considering the amount of screentime they get. Excluding Rucks, who narrates the entire game, there are also Zulf and Zia, who you meet as you progress through the story. These two dont get much screentime as you wont spend too much time in the Bastion with them, but I feel like their characters were actually explored well considering that. The OST of this game is also very nice, as some of the tracks really does hit you in the feels and fit with the narratives and characters very well. Overall, very solid game. Dont expect this to be as good as Hades, but you can clearly see the amount of growth Supergiant has gone through over the years.
