The story is very personal and easy to follow. The world looks great, and the combat is fun. I love the ability to switch between the sun and moon mask and how smoothly that makes combat feel.
Its not the most intricate Metroidvania I’ve ever played, but that’s totally fine, because whats here is really fun. A good metroidvania that fell under the radar due to other releases at the same time. The character has an awkward movement sometimes and tends to stick to walls too easily, which got me killed in a few occasions. Nevertheless, it was a good experience that really hit in the feels department… Not sure if it was because my own father was going through some tough times, but the game delivered the message, besides the gameplay. It might stutter a bit in some camera transitions, but it was not gamebreaking for the experience. I would advise power to be set for the wattage consumption of 10 for this game.

In many ways this is the spiritual follower of Ori. The story is very nice, the voice performance is fantastic, the illustrations reminiscing of Hades, cool skills from the get go. However, the enemies can be repetitive after some time and traversing the maps can get a bit long. This is a beautiful game. It reminds me a lot of the Ori games, both in terms of graphics and the game mechanics. Like Ori it has those punishing chase sequences, which yes, were in the GOAT, Super Metroid, but can be a bit frustrating for those of us who are after a cosier … hack ‘n’ slash/platformer. I’m half way. Hopefully I’ll get to the end, but 10 hours is still good value for getting this on sale There is so much good here. The art, the music, the acting, and the palpable passion and heart with which this was made.
