I think it’s worth it, really the base game is what $30CDN when not on sale and I think a playthrough of Story mode is like 3 hours. If all you want to do is clear it once then the price may not be for you. I just wanted to check it out ASAP since I loved the base game so much. Not sure how much grinding for outfits I will do now that we’ve cleared it once. If you want to level 10 all characters then you’re probably looking at 18 – 20 hours. And then you can have multiple screens in a row like this.

Bummer, since earning a full crystal = progress towards gaining a level, so not getting crystals at all for sometimes 3 screens in a row (I’m sure bad luck can make it worse) can really blow. Dimension Shellshock truly is a labor of love and respect for the TMNT as a whole. The addition of Usagi and Karai are amazing. Usagi in particular is pretty much a walking Samurai Showdown reference. The Survival Mode is not deep nor complex (as the base game itself is pretty simple) but it adds some nice replay value. It’s impossible to not compare this game with Dotemu’s Streets of Rage 4, which had builds with perks that completely changed how your character functions. While this kind of mechanic is absent and all power ups are temporary, you’ll be mowing down enemies by spamming special abilities anyway. Karai doesn’t hesitate to leap into the multiversal melee alongside the Turtles! Using her lightning-fast techniques, she fights to bring back honor to the Foot Clan!
