The game feels less in general, more of a generic metroidvania so it can appeal to larger audiences, the story is told in an extremely blatant and boring way, so everyone can understand it, and the game overall holds you hand waaaaay more than it did in B1 originally. There’s also lots of segments where you revisit and flip levers and stuff without it ever being tedious or puzzly, I really enjoyed navigating its areas, and for the most part I liked how it tackled being more of an MV.
Templar 2 Direct Play:
As I progressed through, I started to appreciate the game more as you unlock more abilities and some of the puzzles and secrets were really engaging. nterestingly, I did recently come across a fourth wall break in the game that references the negative reception of the bow in the first game, which did manage to get a chuckle out of me at the time, despite my positive experience with it. However I can say with certainty that not many games have managed to captivate my attention to this degree for a long time, therefore this game warranted a brief blurb to deliever a thumbs up from my end as Hades 2 has already far exceeded my already high expectations I had for it. Enjoy meticulously crafted retro 2D graphics with 90s style 16-bit visuals.
