The Bus is a city bus simulation game in which you drive different buses on different routes around Berlin. The German capital is realistically recreated at a scale of 1:1 and offers many famous sights to discover – be it the Victory Column, the Brandenburg Gate or Alexanderplatz. In the Scania Citywide or other licensed buses, you sell tickets to passengers for their journey and experience Berlin anew through the changing times of day, seasons and weather. Touching a curb will make the bus jump around for 30 seconds, the feeling is over all that the bus isn’t heavy. It accelerates like a rocket and feels kind of plastic in it’s movements. AI traffic with vehicles and pedestrians as well as complex traffic light systems bring the virtual city to life, and with various customization tools and editors such as the repaint function or mods, you can make The Bus your own. My tips for the devs: Seems like the sim runs best the first hour, then performance is degraded over time. Memory leaks? A little work on the physics. While at the moment it is very basic, with the addition of AI busses and your own company, it could be amazing. It could follow in the steps of OMSI with a devoted modding community and plenty of 3rd party content.
But it requires this effort from TML, and if your listening, you’re doing great, but for it to be perfect we need 3rd party maps and busses. Then We Got Fernbus And Tourist Bus Simulator, Both by the same developer of The Bus. These two simulated More Coach style driving, you could manage your own company, and grow it from scratch. They were realistic and immersive. I have Played Tourist Bus Simulator a lot and i Can safely say; I never got bored.
