The Dark Gift Free Steam Pre-Installed
JustTomcuk is one of my favorite indie devs, but I have to be honest. First of all, the lack of any kind of a menu just feels so unfinished. The game actually instructs you to alt-F4 to exit. The constant low rumble is a bit annoying, but I will take that over no ambient sound. You move sooooo slow in this game. Like unrealistically slow. It’s like you’re walking through molasses. I would understand no ability to sprint, but to combine that with how slow you walk, just feels like it’s there to slow the game down artificially. But probably worst of all is that there is no saves and I’m on my 3rd attempt to finish this damn game.
The first time it crashed, then the next time after playing it all over again, I couldn’t get the game to trigger a door to open. I even looked up some videos on it and don’t see what I could be doing different. I could be a bug, or it could be that there are some very precise and obscure ways for progression to trigger in this game. Like earlier on, I found out I had to stand in a specific place to trigger something. That kind of stuff generally drives me a bit crazy, but when it’s to the point I can’t continue the game, I can’t recommend it. Just a general unpolished feel to this whole game unfortunately, and it does pain me to say that about a JustTomcuk game.

This is one of the best Christmas games I have ever played! It was scary but fun at the same time. The puzzles where fun and not to hard with a mix of horror in them! For £3 I can’t complain!! Short and with some really good horror elements! Highly recommend playing with headphones as game recommends and on descent volume as the sounds make up a large part of atmosphere building in this game :} Awesome to play during Christmas season As always JustTomcuk puts out an amazing release. The game has a mix of intense atmosphere with a few jump scares but enough to get you up off your seat. The game is a great addition to any holiday horror game! I highly recommend this one!
