The world is, once again very nicely based on the reality, and especially Las Vegas is a great piece, in the middle of the desert but not what you expect. The cauldrons are much better this time, with a lot of changes between them: working cauldrons, broken cauldrons, even flooded cauldrons! Also the tallnecks are more interesting this time. I love those silly tallneck buddies. And the way the world reacts to your achievements adds a fun aspect. Suddenly a whole tribe knows about your deeds and mentions it! Near the end of the game they add the special mount which is a fantastic addition to the gameplay and adds fun options. I also really like Aloy giving hints on a puzzle when you’re stuck. It is helpful and a quite clever.
The Day Of Survival Direct Play:
The loading times are amazingly fast for such a beautiful game, great optimisation! And the dynamic downscaling when there’s too much happening on screen is pretty neat. And having a direct exit options from the game is the way to go. Outside of these issues, I found the game to have a compelling story and very rewarding exploration and combat mechanics. The graphical quality and super optimized engine is very impressive; every moment is cutscene quality and my FPS never dropped from start to finish. They give you a whole skill tree for using hacked machines, and then make it harder to impossible to use those skills. That’s ridiculous. The gameplay is an extravaganza of cinematography and interesting mechanics. You can easily spend hundreds of hours and you won’t get bored with the gameplay, believe me.
