I would like to see more of something similar and/or expansion to this in the future. Keep up the good work! The fact that this game managed to actually make me feel stressed, scared and helpless in a setting that I know like the palm of my hand had me speechless. This game was one of the biggest surprises l’ve ever experienced in the last decade or so. I expected something that would only be average in comparison to the OG, but it turned out to be just as good if not better than the first game. This game is a masterpiece. For me it set a new bar for what to expect from a remake and I hope the rest of the industry was taking notes. It wasn’t just a copy with improved graphics or mechanics, it was largely a reimagining of the game. It kept just about enough from the original to keep it faithful, as well as tonally and atmospherically similar, while including enough new stuff to keep it fresh while also fleshing out a lot of the storyline and lore to improve the experience.

The necros had a difficulty that made sense for how dangerous they are. I almost crapped my pants when I accidentally backed into a brute. Though I do wish the exploders made more of their original noises I still found it challenging to complete the game. The game was rejuvenated in the best way possible. I honestly can’t go back to the original. You can even feel it vibrate through. So you’ll be walking along thinking you are in the clear and then that starts and you begin panicking. It’s like hearing the boss music with no boss in sight but worse. though, it’s the best Sci-Fi horror game ever made and maybe the best horror game. This is a great game. This is a game where you can take a break and just build fort knox. The original was an amazing game for the time, and the remake is at least as good in almost every way, and improves many things, not least of which being the graphics.
