About The Game
The latest from veteran developer Con Artist Games, creators of The Last Stand series of games, The Last Stand: Aftermath is an all new, premium single player standalone action adventure rogue-lite. Choose a survivor to set forth and explore the ruins of civilization, finding fuel to travel to new locations and gathering supplies to craft weapons and more. You’ll need to stay on your toes, since hordes of zombies still roam the streets, and you’re no superhuman. In fact, you’re one of the infected yourself, and eventually you’ll die, be it from the hostile undead or the virus rampaging through your body. But when that happens, you’ll pick up the game again as a new survivor, with perks and upgrades earned based on your progress from the last, and set out to try again.
Honestly one of the most fun games I have played in a while. For those saying melee isnt viable are just wrong. Melee is an integral part of this game but requires skill and patience especially when you get to armored zombies that soak up 20+ rounds before the armor goes away. Sure it has its bugs but its mainly just the occasional loot that you cant access (and I mean like once every three maps not that it matters much you get enough loot anyway) and zombies spawning outside the map. The gun play is fun but requires some tweaks when zombies are behind half cover and sometimes cant be hit. Hordes are quite deadly but with proper stamina management and definitely skill can be dealt with without a scratch.
That being said the game is still quite brutal the first time seeing anew enemy will very easily get you killed but you now learned what it does its a rogue-lite thats how you should learn. I also must say I love the traps in this game (with the exception that you either cant or I dont know how yet to disarm them) They are hidden but can be spotted to a trained eye and can even be used to kill zombies. All the mechanics are also introduced with amazingly with you either going wow i have no idea what this is and no one else does so we have to figure it out or this seems incredibly dangerous but maybe loot perhaps. After all you are in an apocalypse. And buddy make sure you bring lots of batteries you will need them.
