Real choices and multiple endings. Choices are very important in the game, some may have less impact and some may change the entire story. Optional challenges to face. The game is full of overpowered enemies who don’t care if you’re still a newbie, they only care about one thing – crushing you. But you can always find a way to evade or defeat them. In it’s core it’s simple story, hero’s village was burned by dragon and he wants revenge. I won’t spoil it more than that, but it was well worth playing trough. This game also managed something I have seldom see in games : Win or lose battle you don’t exactly get annoyed about it, it makes sense when you lose or have to escape and moments when you win impossible battles feel rewarding. I highly recommend this game to anyone who like games where you have some influence in the story that has somewhat challenging battles that don’t feel like torment, that you can also in some cases avoid or even delay till you are stronger, based on your choices. A bit janky, but it’s rather fun and has a lot of heart. It’s kind of like an interactive “storybook” type JRPG with turn based combat. Not exactly my typical genre, but when it’s done decently well it can be fun… and it is done decently well here.
