You must read every letter that is strewn about to discover the lore, which is deeper than the sea. Your time is well spent. Simply switch on your brain’s hard mode. Many names that are hard to recall. People who are looking for a scary game experience may be let down because The Fort, which is, in my opinion, the most terrifying part, takes place at a very early hour.

To put it plainly, everything you will witness in the following moments is expected. You no longer feel afraid because you already know what to expect at that point. Although the way Frictional Games presents its stories through text and the player character’s near-constant inner monologue may not be to everyone’s taste, in Rebirth there’s actually a very good reason for her to be talking to ‘herself’ later on. You will undoubtedly be rewarded with a greater comprehension of the vast extent of its universe if you do take the time to study some of the scattered text pages. The way the narrative develops and goes above simple horror clichés to become an engrossing science fiction novel is incredibly beautifully done.
