About The Game
The Spike is a 2D volleyball game which is light, but dynamic. Dominate your opponents with speedy and powerful spikes, to take control of the court! When it comes to a volleyball game this is differently a good take on it. Gives you the feeling of excitement when winning games or the frustration when losing them. Great game but i would suggest adding a Multiplayer mode so we can take our skills to other players, The A.I is very smart and can learn how to beat you if you slack off or doze off during a game, besides that once mastering the game the A.I feels to easy which is where i suggest multiplayer should be in placed. I really enjoyed this game. The game’s simple graphics and controls let me actually play like how I would play if I was playing volleyball in real life. Unlike many other “3D” volleyball games I played, I can plan how I will approach the rally and how I will win the point.
The special effects when I spike the ball right and win a point was huge satisfaction factor for me, it was simply astonishing. The in-game achievements was there to help me with character progression, gacha, as well as costumizaion. The BGM music was fantastic as well, each BGM setting the tone and the mood perfectly. AI team, you’re probably paired with the WORST AI TEAM. Setter would fail to set correctly or fail a quick which this is the main reason you’ll be losing 95% of the points your opponent get are when your AI teams get their quick blocked (apparently the hours of game time I’ve played I never seen the opponent fail their quick at all, weither it be from far back or right up to the net) and often times, the AI setter would just set to the enemy team. Like seriously? Not just that I can’t really tell if they Setter’s personality really does change their gameplay as there’s no obvious difference between “careful,” or, “arrogant.” They both set like sh!t. Not only that but pretty often (compared to the opponent AI) your mate would just stand there and take the L and not receive a spike or what not.
Next up is some bugs I found out, bugs? I don’t know. For example if your team starts off and serve, you can spike the ball in after your AI serves, same goes with the enemy, if you time it right you can spike it right back. This rarely has happened, but I’ve experienced this twice; the enemy team fail to serve but their guy in front receives it and then another spike it. My jaw literally DROPPED. The CAMERA SUCKS. It’s constantly moving, zooming, left right, zoom out etc in up down etc. This makes it really hard to find your own position to receive/set for your AI. I would really like for the devs to rework the camera, it’s not the worst but not the best either. Sometimes you can’t even see the ball when you jump serve.
