the white chamber, is a point and click horror adventure game. Explore a strange environment crafted in luscious 2D. Control a trapped young woman from 3rd person perspective as she solves puzzles and overcomes the twisted obstacles in her path. A young girl wakes to find herself inside a strange glowing coffin, in a dark room. Who is she? What is this place? Why is she here? As she explores the warped environment she finds herself trapped within, she must search for answers, all of which will lead her closer and closer to the white chamber and the truth it holds. This is a neat point and click adventure game. For the most part, it avoids the pitfalls of many other point and click adventure games with regards to puzzle design and actually delivers a pretty reasonable suite of brain challenges. Admittedly, there are some times where the game doesn’t highlight important intractable objects to you, letting you miss important parts of a puzzle. The atmosphere is quite good. It’s oppressive and moody, which is carried not only by the impressively stylized art, but also the sound design.
There are various sequences in this game that actually took me by surprise and left me a bit disturbed. This game is a crazy blast from the past. I remember trying and failing to get this to run on an old computer of mine back in high school. I never got very far so being able to play it now is awesome! The art style in this game is so weird… it’s simultaneously simplistic and noisy af. I love how unique it is. it’s certainly creepy too. Young me loved this and current me is very nostalgic for it. try it out if you think it looks interesting! it’s certainly one of a kind. One of the standout features here is the parrying of projectiles. Leon’s newfound ability to swat away thrown weapons adds a layer of depth to combat. It’s not always easy to time it right, but when you do, it feels pretty darn satisfying.

Crafting ammo is another game-changer. Scrounging for every last bullet is still part of the experience, but now you can craft some if you’re in a tight spot. It’s a clever addition that keeps you on your toes and eases some of the inventory stress. It retains the essence of what made the original great while bringing it up to today’s gaming standards. Whether you’re a die-hard RE fan or a newcomer to the series, this remake is well worth your time. It’s a spine-chilling journey that’ll have you hooked from start to finish. i still want to play more, the dlc separate ways was perfect too and is my favourite dlc in the whole re franchise. This is easily one of my favourite games of all time.
