This is a Ghost is a surnatural investigation game. You are a member of a secret society that hunts or sets free scary entities from our world. Start your investigation with a set of 14 tools to find clues to a haunting. 45 possibilities ! 15 entities with unique characteristics and 3 associated behaviours. Will you succeed in your contract ?Four maps to start theadventure: Small, medium and large. Find out more about the entity by conducting your survey and complete your contract. Destroy the threat or release the haunting from this world. Increase your reputation among secret societies and unlock new contracts, improves equipment. If you start making money, spend it asap, as you will likely lose it if you dont. Keep buying ghosts every game you succeed as it will increase your money modifier so you make more per success.
DO NOT RUN. As often as you can help it. My friend and I came in swinging, running everywhere and our average lifespan, even once we learned how to use incense, was still about 3-5 minutes before we got beat to death in the dark….on easy….on the smallest map. Walking, and standing still while waiting on some events, will keep your global activity much more manageable. Co-Op is more challenging in my opinion as health and tools are shared, so if your teammate gets hit, or uses an item you take that damage and lose that item. Only Shields, Pistol bullets and Photo pictures are individual. You and your friends can shoot one another, and you can die from this. You will immediately fail the “Finish with 80%+ Health” objective with a single gunshot to the chest, as i found out when a ghost appeared between my friend and I. In the immortal words of Danny Devito…he just started blasting.

The tools being on the character bar, and not in a van, or needing purchased or carted back and forth is amazing. This somewhat makes up for the extremely brutal beatings you will take early on, and the barren wallet you will have for the first few hours. However, after a period of adjustment to learning the keybindings and how the game works, we have gotten pretty good about surviving….most of the time. Lost ghosts interact a lot, and jump in your face a bunch. Residual ghosts ignore you, but can still be pretty active. If you see a grey silhouette running around, that is a residual. Vengeful ghosts, will come out swinging, put on some rocky music and swing back. They will hit you even outside of their “active hunting” window. If you arent actively looking for a clue, keep the zappy gun out, or your pistol.
