Starting as a relatively simple platformer, Tiny Thor unfolds along the way, as you unlock all kinds of abilities that you dreamed of having back in the day.
The platforming is punctuated with exhilarating boss battles which will test the son of Odin. Each realm features a set of almighty adversaries who want to stop Thor on his way to becoming a true god. You will need to make use of everything you learned along the way to beat them! Tiny Thor is a really great game. My initial experience was actually during the free demo that was originally released on Itch. Since that demo, I’ve already seen many improvements within the game that have really brought the game up to par. It’s main appeal is the retro-style 2D platforming & puzzling that would be fit for the SNES, but a curve ball is thrown in there with Mjolnir, Thor’s hammer which can be thrown and bounced off objects for solving puzzles and creating satisfying trick shots. The beautiful pixel art, authentic sound fonts and FM synths really bring the retro package together. My main concern with this game is if there exists a truly captivating spark.

Tiny Thor is a fantastic game that combines classic platforming with a cool Norse twist. Right from the start, I was hooked by its beautiful graphics, easy controls (mouse+keyboard or controller), and great secrets and puzzles. The levels are cleverly designed, with puzzles to solve and a good amount of hidden things to find. There are also boss fights with unique mechanics. The game has a lot of levels to play through, so there’s plenty of content. It seems great for both casual and serious gamers. There’s a good amount of challenge without being too hard Great music, hours of content and so far it has just been a long, great adventure, the difficulty just keeps ramping up over and over as you progress. The devs truly put a lot of passion into this game.
