Your cities exist within the broad Mesoamerica region. Engage in diplomacy with other city-states, trade, build alliances and conquer your enemies. Experience or change history in an extensive campaign, or play in scenarios and sandbox mode. Engage with Aztec gods, festivals, calendar and traditions like human sacrifice. Learn old Nahuatl vocabulary, and lose yourself in old traditions, music and hand-drawn art bringing Mesoamerican world to life on your screen. The game is clearly inspired by Caesar 3 and I think that is a good thing. This review is from when the game first enters early access and its quite good. Solid gameplay loop and mechanics. The art and UI aren’t quite perfect but there is very clearly potential and I expect good things from it.

Definitely picking up the Caesar III vibes, if anyone here is old enough to know anything about that game. I’m liking it and it’s still early access so looking forward to seeing how it continues to develop. This is the truest successor to Caesar 3 / Pharaoh / etc that I’ve seen in a long time. It’s fun, the artwork is great, and it has it’s own quirks and charm. The devs are responsive on discord, so I think this will just keep getting better.
