Honestly, where can I start… Valiant Hearts: The Great War is an amazing and breathtaking game. Words can’t describe how blown away I am with every single aspect of this game. I had goosebumps playing through the story, even bringing on tears with the ending.
This masterpiece has such depth to it. Through the combination of an astonishing soundtrack, delightful visual art style and a breathtaking story it honestly is up there as one of my favourites. The addition of real life facts spread throughout the game to connect the game to World War 1 and diary entries kept the atmosphere extremely immersive. The game introduces so many game styles and rotates it consistently, making it never feel repetitive. Stealth, rhythm games, puzzles, it honestly has everything. I haven’t played a Ubisoft game this good since Child of Light. If you’re looking for the usual trappings of the “typical” Ubisoft title, you’ll probably be disappointed. But what it lacks in flash, it makes up for in heart and thought. this game is wonderful, such simple graphics create so much immersion, the music is a masterpiece, perfectly fitting with the timeline, quite hard some times and requires more than 1% of your brain usage. i truly suggest if you have money for it, buy it. you wont regret it.
