However, the Magella Science Expedition, the first manned mission to other star systems, has been declared missing after failing to establish communications. You have been chosen to captain the hastily designed Voyager-19 space probe; a rudimentary spacecraft equipped with a hibernation pod and fractional light-speed capable engines, to search for the missing science mission.
I recommend this game, It is definitely an Iron lung clone. Though it is made in genuine appreciation. It’s a good game to buy to waste 40 minutes of your time. It’s a good game and the mechanics are fun, the way your ship degrades overtime is a great mechanic, losing the control over your ship feels creepy. Though I feel like this game could have been more scary though. I’m inclined to agree with other reviews that the gameplay process does get a little bit tedious, but I love this kind of aesthetic so it’s fine. The ending was kinda meh, but most of the game I was wondering when the next bad thing was gonna happen, in a good, anxiety-inducing way lol. The sheer amount of moving parts in the corner of space you call home would already be an impressive feat in video game design. However, once you start to understand how those moving parts are impacting each other, it’ll start to boggle your mind just how mad-genius these developers must have been to not only come up with it all, but actually put it all together in a way that works.
Voyager-19 Direct Play:
It’s like a well oiled machine. An intriguing little game which doesn’t overstay its welcome. I would say don’t think about it too much, just get it and go in blind. Also when looking at the text logs check if they scroll to see more text — I missed out a little by not realising this. Story, Gameplay, and the concept of the game is super cool, and I love how you slowly unravel the mystery yourself, but the actual gameplay ended up becoming a bit tedious after a while, and was especially annoying on the final mission, where only have 1 power box, and so you constantly have to switch between menus. Except you’ll wake up again at the beginning of that fateful day. It’s a space adventure version of groundhog day. Nobody else knows what you are talking about when you try to explain you’ve lived this day before… perhaps 100 times before.
